Why Eagle Tours Cambridge?
Posted on: 11th Aug 2019 by: Eagle Tours Cambridge
An eagle is a bird that flies alone. Soaring high in clear skies above some of the most picturesque and stunning landscapes. It epitimises the role Clive Berry endeavours to fill in today's world of coach tourism: whether social or corporate travel.
Eagle Tours Cambridge is independent and individually plans every journey, or tour, which is undertaken. Strength of performance is achieved by carefully selecting any businesses, or service providers, that are engaged to complete any of the bespoke services.
Clive acquired his PSV licence (Public Service Vehicle licence as it was known then) in 1977. Training with Young's Coaches of Rampton he covered a range of driving duties including day excursions, occasional tours (UK and Europe) plus works/schools contracts.
After a number of years he transferred to Premier Travel Services performing similar responsibilities plus the addition of express service work. Clive remained with Premier for the subsequent transition into Cambridge Coach Services: which primarily covered the Airport express routes.
Eventually Cambridge Coach Services was acquired by Airlinks and then absorbed into the National Express network. Clive continued to drive on this work when it transferred under contract to Burton's.
During the latter period Clive also performed occasional work for other local coach companies including Millers Coaches, Biss Brothers Coaches at Stansted, Robinsons Coaches Kimbolton and Grey's of Ely.
Clive now drives for Richmond's Coaches whilst developing his aspirations in organising and managing his own coach tour and group travel interests.
Supporting his aims: Clive has passed the Royal Society of Arts Certificate of Professional Competance in Road Transport. He has also undertaken a Padget Thompson course on organised management. Legality and coach industry processes are supported by membership of the Federation of Small Businesses and the Coach Drivers Club of Great Britain.
Finally and somewhat unusually: Clive is a competent touch typist which is of great help when producing itineraries. He is very much a people person and genuine in striving to achieve maximum customer satisfaction.
His own programme of UK day tours and extended breaks often include many unique or unusual features. Advice can be given concerning any general, or special interest, destination your group may wish to visit.
